AZ Valley Movers Reviews

Families and businesses across Maricopa County and the Valley of the Sun count on us. Here is what they say about a move day with our crew.

★★★★

“Booked them for our two-bed off 44th Street in Arcadia. The quote held and the guys were polite, but they showed up about an hour past the window and nobody called ahead. Once the crew chief got there he owned it, knocked a little off the bill, and they hustled. Would use again, just wish dispatch had given me a heads-up.”

“Moved our three-bed near the McCormick Ranch side of Scottsdale and these guys earned the five stars. Crew rolled in at 6am to beat the heat, wrapped every dresser, and the flat number Renata emailed me was exactly what I paid. Gabe actually came by during the walkthrough to check the load.”

“We had a big four-bedroom in Mesa with a ton of garage stuff and a backyard shed nobody wanted to deal with. Diego's team took it all on, padded the doorways, and got everything across town without a scratch. They started early so the truck wasn't an oven by noon. The written estimate matched the final to the dollar. Honestly the least stressful move we've done in the Valley, and we've moved four times out here.”

“Relocated our small office near the ASU research park in Tempe over a weekend so we wouldn't lose a workday. They labeled every workstation, kept the server gear separate and out of the sun while loading, and had us plugged back in by Monday. Cole worked the schedule around the 202 so the truck wasn't crawling at rush hour. Solid, professional, and the bill was the bill we agreed on.”

“My mom is 78 and we moved her out of the Glendale house she'd been in for thirty years. The crew was so patient with her. They helped sort what was going to the new place versus the kids, wrapped her china themselves, and never made her feel rushed. That kind of care is hard to find. Thank you to the whole team.”

“We moved into a high-rise condo on the Paradise Valley line and the building has a strict freight-elevator window and a COI requirement that's tripped up other movers before. Renata filed the certificate with management days ahead, and Brianna's crew booked the elevator slot and got the whole unit up in one reservation. They protected the lobby floors and the hallways. Not one complaint from the HOA, which is a miracle honestly.”

“Used them for a long-distance move from Peoria out to the San Diego area. The move itself was good and the same crew that loaded us drove it, which I liked. Only gripe is the delivery landed a day later than the original estimate, though they did call to tell me in advance. Furniture all arrived in good shape and the price didn't change, so I'd still recommend them.”

“Had a baby grand plus a full three-bedroom in the Biltmore area. The piano was my late father's so I was a wreck about it. Trevor's crew showed up with the proper board and straps, took their time getting it down the entry steps, and it didn't pick up a single mark. The rest of the house was handled just as carefully. Five stars and then some.”

“I had a 700-pound gun safe in the garage plus a two-bedroom to move out of a place near downtown. A couple companies wouldn't even quote the safe. “Used them to load our things into their storage during a closing gap, then deliver to the new place. The storage part went fine and our stuff stayed in good condition through the heat. One box got set down in the wrong room on delivery and a lamp shade got a little crushed, but they sorted it out and made it right. Four stars, would still use them again.”

Phoenix Moving Questions

What does a local Phoenix move actually run?
A two-mover crew with the truck, pads, and dollies starts at $125 an hour; three movers run $165 and four run $215. Once Gabe or one of our estimators sees the inventory on a video call, we write a flat band — roughly $620 to $1,050 for a one-bedroom or $1,050 to $1,850 for a two-bedroom — and that figure holds on move day.
Is AZ Valley Movers licensed and insured?
Yes. Arizona deregulated household-goods carriers years ago, so there is no state mover license or ROC number to chase here. What matters is the federal side: we keep USDOT and MC authority on file for interstate work and carry $1 million in cargo coverage on every job, and we will email credentials or a Certificate of Insurance to any building that asks.
Can you move me into a downtown high-rise?
We do it constantly — 44 Monroe, Optima, Portland on the Park, and the Midtown towers along Central. Our office files the COI your management wants, books the freight elevator and loading dock, and times the load to your reserved window so the crew is never stuck waiting at the curb.
How early should I lock in my date?
From November through March, snowbird season fills the calendar fast, so two or three weeks ahead is smart for weekends and end-of-month dates. Midweek and summer jobs often open up a few days out, and when a crew has room we will take same-day work. Call (888) 711-4778 and we will tell you straight what is open.
Will you ask for a deposit up front?
Most local Valley moves take no deposit; we just confirm by phone the afternoon before. For larger homes and out-of-state hauls we hold the date with a small refundable deposit that comes straight off your final balance.
Which parts of the Valley do you cover?
All of Maricopa County. That means Phoenix neighborhoods like Arcadia, Ahwatukee, and Desert Ridge, the East Valley run through Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, and Gilbert, and the West Valley out to Glendale, Peoria, Surprise, and Goodyear. The long Loop 101 and Loop 202 hauls between the two are routine for us.
Will your crew pack for me?
They will. Hand us the whole house and we box, wrap, and label every room, or point us at just the kitchen and the breakables and we handle those. Either way the crew shows up with the cartons, paper, and tape, so you are not chasing supplies the week of your move.
Can I pack my own boxes to keep the price down?
Of course. Plenty of customers box their own goods and leave the furniture, wrapping, and stairs to the crew. If you would rather we just handle the fragile kitchen and art, that works too — your written quote spells out exactly what we are doing and what you are.
Can I get boxes and supplies from you?
Yes. We carry cartons in every size plus tape, packing paper, bubble wrap, and the specialty boxes for dishes, hanging clothes, and flat-screens. Tell us when you book and we will drop them off ahead of time so you can pack at your own pace.
How do you deal with a 110-degree summer move?
This is the heart of how we work. From June through September the crew starts at first light, before the asphalt hits oven temperature, and we keep water and breaks built into the day. Electronics, candles, vinyl records, and artwork get staged in the shade and loaded last so nothing bakes, and the truck is packed to keep your things out of the sun as much as possible.
What about monsoon storms and dust?
Monsoon afternoons bring sudden downpours and the occasional haboob, so we floor-protect and shrink-wrap everything and keep an eye on the radar. We move through normal weather without a problem; only a genuine safety call — a wall of dust or flooded streets — would move your date, and we reschedule right away with no penalty.
Do you handle pianos and other heavy pieces?
We do. An upright runs $320 to $480 and a baby grand $560 to $850, and we use the right board, straps, and dollies for each. Gun safes, pool tables, and oversized furniture are no problem either — just flag them when you book so the right crew and gear roll out.
Can you send a COI to my building or HOA?
Yes, and we issue them every week for downtown towers and the guard-gated communities across Scottsdale, Gilbert, and the West Valley. Forward your management or HOA requirements when you book and we name them on the certificate well before move day, at no cost to you.
Is there anything you cannot load?
A few things, for safety and the law. We cannot carry propane tanks, gasoline, paint, pool chemicals, ammunition, or perishable food, and an empty grill in the Phoenix heat should travel without its tank. We hand you the full list when you book so nothing trips you up on the day.
Do you have storage if my dates do not line up?
We do, and in the desert it is climate-controlled, which matters — you do not want furniture or electronics sitting in a baking metal unit. Rates run about $120 to $280 a month by size. Your things stay wrapped and secured, and the crew delivers them the day you are ready.
How do your out-of-state moves work?
We run them on our own USDOT and MC authority with a binding written quote, not a guess that creeps up at delivery. The same crew that loads your home in Phoenix stays with the shipment the whole way, and the truck is GPS-tracked. We never hand your move to a broker, a load board, or a warehouse transfer.
Do you relocate offices and businesses?
Yes. We move offices across the Valley — the tech corridors in Tempe and Chandler, downtown firms, and the banking and aerospace relocations around Sky Harbor — and we schedule after hours or on weekends so your team loses as little working time as possible.
How can I pay?
Major credit and debit cards and bank transfers all work. You pay when the job is done, after everything is unloaded and you have walked through with the crew chief. The total is the flat figure from your written quote, so there is never a surprise at the end.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Give us 48 hours and any deposit comes back in full. Plans shift, especially with closings and snowbird timing, and we are not going to penalize you for it — the earlier you call, the easier it is for us to open the date for someone else.
Are tips expected?
Never required — your quote already covers the job. That said, the crew works hard in real desert heat, and a tip is always appreciated. Folks usually figure 10–20% of the move split across the crew, or a flat amount per mover. It is entirely your call.
